Faro Barcelona has delivered the complete lighting design for the new Vithas Barcelona Hospital in Esplugues de Llobregat, one of the most significant private healthcare facilities recently opened in Spain, spanning more than 40,000 m².

Developed in collaboration with PMMT, a leading studio in human-centred healthcare architecture, the project embraces a new approach to healthcare environments, where lighting goes beyond its technical function to become an integral part of the patient and staff experience. Faro Barcelona was involved from the earliest design stages through to the final implementation, creating a lighting ecosystem tailored to the specific requirements of every area within the hospital.

Vithas Barcelona Hospital reflects the evolution of healthcare architecture towards spaces where lighting plays an increasingly strategic role, supporting a more human-centred approach to hospital design while meeting the demanding technical requirements of modern clinical environments.
